Last Month Marked the One-Year Anniversary of The JP4 Foundation in Action!
September marked the one-year anniversary for The JP4 Foundation, founded with the belief that all kids should have access to the game of baseball. Since its inception, The JP4 Foundation has helped more than 65 families to make the game of baseball more accessible, partnered with 11 other nonprofit organizations, and provided over 850 hours of community service and learning opportunities for Minnesota baseball players. We are excited to reflect on our accomplishments and look forward to our next year:
Baseball is a vehicle for youth to practice and learn valuable life lessons. The JP4 Foundation works with families in need, regardless of the team or organization affiliation, to ensure the game of baseball along with its lessons in responsibility, failure, and emotional intelligence are accessible.
Youth can be empowered to be outstanding community members. Since September of 2016, The JP4 Foundation has provided over 850 hours of community service and learning opportunities for Minnesota baseball players. In the upcoming year, The JP4 Foundation is looking to build on its relationships with the Miracle League and the Ronald McDonald House and expand connections with other local nonprofit organizations such as Matter (St. Louis Park), Hope Kids (Eden Prairie), Good in the Hood (St. Paul), Charlie Wittwer Wheelchair Foundation (Plymouth), Union Gospel Mission (St. Paul), Northeast Youth and Family Services (Shoreview) and more.
Recognize players who exhibit the characteristics of a leader, a friend, and teammate on and off the field and keep the legacy of Johnny Price IV alive. Adam Barta, owner of the Blizzard Baseball Organization, made a promise that Johnny’s his legacy would continue to live on, and we are committed to keeping this promise. The JP4 Foundation awards the Johnny Price IV Memorial College Scholarship annually to senior baseball players who further Johnny’s legacy on and off the baseball field. The JP4 Foundation hopes to one-day cement Johnny’s legacy through a memorial field as the mission and vision of The JP4 Foundation spread across the nation.
As The JP4 Foundation enters year two committed to awareness, outreach, and sharing resources, we need help in spreading our mission and vision. The JP4 Foundation would not be able to help families, provide opportunities for youth, and award college scholarships without the help of donors.
