State Farm Hits a Home Run with Their Good Neighbor Contribution

St. Paul, Minn. – State Farm presented the JP4 Foundation with a $5,000 check during the 5th Annual Johnny Price IV Memorial Golf Tournament, Monday, August 12th at Legends Golf Club in Prior Lake. The contribution will support the expansion of the JP4 Foundation summer-long baseball camps in the Twin Cities which focus on healthy meals, healthy relationships, and healthy activities.

State Farm prides themselves on being a good neighbor. They have a rich history of community involvement, giving back to communities where they live and work. Their values support building safer, stronger and better educated communities.

“To see the impact the JP4 Foundation has had in the Twin Cities community the last five years is incredibly heartwarming,” Darin Vote, State Farm Agency Territory Executive stated. “Their focus of using baseball as a vehicle to enrich the lives of kids in our community clearly aligns with the core values of State Farm.”

While COVID guidelines restricted the number of kids the JP4 Foundation was able to impact this summer, the smaller number allowed for a richer experience by offering a smaller coach-participant ratio. This small ratio led to daily “walk and talks” and shared meals with the campers and kids while enjoying the outdoors.

“We had an intentional focus to use this individualized time to build meaningful and impactful relationships between coach and camper.” Jeff Huth, Executive Director of the JP4 Foundation stated. “Even with both coaches and campers wearing masks – you could all but see the smiles on everyone’s face.”

“We are incredibly proud to see the JP4 Foundation using these funds, during a tough time, to make such an impact in our neighborhood in a safe and healthy way.” Holly Anderson, State Farm Corporate Community Analyst

The JP4 Foundation will continue to expand summer-long baseball camps throughout the Twin Cities in the upcoming years. For more information on programming or if you are interested in getting involved, please contact Jeff Huth, 763-242-2125.
