With Summer Coming to a Close… Here are Five Things You Need to Know!
1. Twin Cities Orthopedics Becomes JP4 Foundation’s Biggest Fan!
This last winter Twin Cities Orthopedics was interested in learning more about the mission and vision of The JP4 Foundation. With similar visions for our community, Twin Cities Orthopedics is The JP4 Foundation’s largest sponsor. In return of sponsorship, The JP4 Foundation committed to reducing fees for families playing baseball while completing 500 hours of community service and learning throughout the Summer of 2017. TCO’s support has allowed The JP4 Foundation to reach more families and continue to grow their presence in the Greater Twin Cities’ Community. Thank you Twin Cities Orthopedics!
2. Johnny Price IV Memorial Golf Tournament Finishes a Success!
The dust has settled, the silent auction items have been picked up, and final numbers have been tallied. The 2nd Annual Johnny Price IV Memorial Golf Tournament was attended by more than 400 people, was made up of 144 golfers, and over 30 hole sponsors. The JP4 Foundation cannot thank our volunteers enough for the time, energy, and passion they dedicated to the weeks leading up to this event. All of the money raised will go towards supporting The JP4 Foundation. The JP4 Foundation is dedicated to making baseball accessible for all families, empowering youth to be outstanding citizens, and awarding the annual Johnny Price IV Memorial College Scholarship to a graduating senior. Thank you all for your support!
3. The JP4 Foundation helped raise $3,000 for ALS Association (MN, ND, SD Chapter)
On Saturday, July 29th more than 25 teams came out to play in the annual Knock ALS Out of the Park Wiffle Ball Tournament. The JP4 Foundation had the strongest presence there with 10 teams made up of the Blizzard summer teams. Our very own, JP4 Foundation Tin Cups, were this year’s champions!
4. The JP4 Foundation has completed 500+ hours of community service this summer!
The JP4 Foundation has committed to completing over 500 hours of community service during the summer months! Community service activities this summer have included a night with the Miracle League, helping out at local camps, partnering with the ALS Wiffle Ball Tournament, cleaning around our community, and helping out at our annual golf tournament. The JP4 Foundation is devoted to empowering baseball players with the tools and skills they need to be outstanding community members.
