JP4 Foundation Builds Relationships off the Baseball Field
HopeKids provides ongoing events, activities and a powerful, unique support community for families who have a child with a life-threatening medical condition. Minnesota Blizzard player, Will Frisch, Stillwater High School junior summarized the overall reaction of the Minnesota Blizzard players, “It was great seeing how happy this experience made them [HopeKids]. It makes me happy to see other people happy and that’s a really cool feeling.”
The JP4 Foundation is looking to continue their partnership with HopeKids to provide access to baseball-related family activities
“Anytime we can provide opportunities for baseball players [from any organization] to give back, gain perspective, and teach baseball is a win for the foundation.” JP4 Foundation director, Jeff Huth, commented.
Founded in 2016, The JP4 Foundation has since helped make baseball accessible to more than 65 families, provided over 1000 hours of service learning opportunities for baseball players, and has awarded 2 scholarships in memory of former Minnesota Blizzard player, Johnny Price IV.
Drew Gilbert, also a Stillwater High School junior is a baseball player who frequently attends JP4 Foundation service projects. “Without The JP4 Foundation I wouldn’t have these opportunities to give back. Nights like these help remind me that life is more than baseball.”
“It’s cool to see The JP4 Foundation using baseball as a tool to help kids out and put a smile on their face. I know I take for granted being able to
Since its founding, The JP4 Foundation has been able to impact baseball programs across the Twin Cities community by providing community service opportunities and providing aid for families needing assistance with baseball-related expenses, regardless of organization affiliation.
“The JP4 Foundation is here to help all kids have the opportunity to play baseball. It doesn’t matter if your kid is the next Joe Mauer or is having trouble making the high school team,” said Jake Kuschke, treasurer of The JP4 Foundation.
