The JP4 Foundation has given me the opportunity to experience a community where I can give back. I’ve learned that The JP4 Foundation makes the Blizzard program stronger. It proves that Blizzard is more than just a baseball program. The JP4 Foundation also supports what I experience at my high school. My team had the opportunity to prepare a meal for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
It was a great way to spend a Sunday with my teammates for a good cause. We worked as a team to serve the families and make good food! I am confident we will want to participate in more JP4 Foundation events. Watching the families come through the line made me feel happy to know I was helping them through a hard time. This proved a small act of kindness can go a long way. In addition, spending time with the kids from the Miracle League has made me realize that not everyone is able to play baseball. I was able to make a friend named, Zach. I was able to teach him how to run the bases. Watching Zach’s happy face made me feel fulfilled because he was experiencing a new adventure.
