Eden Prairie SCHEELS Teams up with JP4 Foundation Offering $10,000 in Matching Funds

March 14, 2022

St. Paul, MN – The JP4 Foundation is excited to announce that the Eden Prairie SCHEELS, Minnesota’s largest all-sports store, is offering up $10,000 in matching funds towards the expansion of JP4 Foundation’s after-school program, the Diamond Club. SCHEELS will match every dollar raised from Monday, March 14, to Sunday, March 20, up to $10,000.

“SCHEELS is committed to providing philanthropic support in each community where we are located,” said Lauren Andrist, Marketing Leader. “Our associates volunteer thousands of hours to community service projects annually.”

SCHEELS takes pride in improving the lives of others as an active member of the local community through outreach and volunteerism. SCHEELS understands the importance of health in both mind and body and recognizes that participating in after-school programs offers benefits and lessons that carry over to all aspects of life – making it a natural fit to partner with the JP4 Foundation.

“We’re beyond grateful to SCHEELS for offering up this match,” said JP4 Executive Director Jeff Huth. “The funds raised will help strengthen the Diamond Club in the schools we are already in and potentially expand to new schools in the fall. It is an honor to have a partner in SCHEELS that supports our work in these schools.”

JP4’s Diamond Club was successfully piloted last fall in two East Saint Paul Schools. The Diamond Club program seeks to establish an educational and developmental environment where urban youth can safely experience and grow interpersonal relationship skills, health, wellness, and nutritional knowledge, and learning skills through sustained education and targeted mentoring.
