Adam Barta

Adam Barta is a Lake Crystal, Minnesota native, and has been involved with baseball all of his life pitching in college and professionally along with coaching high school, college, and professional players.

In 2003, Barta founded¬†Minnesota Baseball Academy – known now as Blizzard Baseball Academy – which has created some of Minnesota’s most popular baseball offerings: the Minnesota Blizzard, the Advanced Fall Baseball League and ScoutStop.

Since then, Barta and his program have graduated some of the most well-decorated prep athletes in Minnesota as well as helped develop youth players from the ages 6u-18u. In 2006, he signed a contract with the Chicago White Sox as an Associate Scout where his main duties are scouting players in the Twin Cities as well as running the Minnesota Area Code workouts. Some of Barta’s players who have either been signed or drafted by the Sox include Mike Strong, Ryan Bollinger, Tom Windle, and Jon Keller.

In 2012, Barta was inducted in the St. Scholastica baseball Hall of Fame and was on the 1999 Saints baseball team that was inducted into the CSS Sports Hall of Fame in the fall of 2013.

In the summer if 2016, Barta founded The JP4 Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization, to help student-athletes achieve their dreams on and off the field. The JP4 Foundation has three main legs to the foundation: to provide financial aid to players in need, community service projects, and provide the “Johnny Price” College Scholarship.

Currently, Barta lives in Roseville with his wife, Heidi, their son, Spencer, and daughter, Stella.
